We collect the following types of information when you use GouGo:
We do not collect sensitive personal information such as government IDs, financial account numbers, or health data.
GouGo uses Supabase as its backend database and file storage provider. Your account data, posts, and uploaded media are stored securely on Supabase infrastructure hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Passwords are never stored in plain text — authentication is managed by Supabase Auth using industry-standard hashing.
Photos and videos are stored in Supabase Storage and served via public CDN URLs only for content you explicitly mark as public.
GouGo requests access to your device location to help you discover nearby restaurants. We use it to:
Location access is optional and only active while the app is open ("when in use" permission only). We do not track your location in the background and we do not sell location data to third parties.
GouGo requests camera and photo library access solely to let you create and share content:
We never access your camera or photo library in the background. Media is only read when you actively initiate an upload.
We share data only in these limited circumstances:
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account inside the GouGo app.
When you delete your account, we permanently remove your profile, posts, stories, likes, saved places, rewards points, and all uploaded media within 30 days. Some anonymised aggregate data may be retained for analytics purposes.
GouGo is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you via in-app message or email. Continued use of GouGo after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
